We’re a little late per usual but back in October
(the 4th to be precise) it was twenty years ago since we dropped our second fulllength album #fallingout
Back in winter 2003-2004 we recorded at the @thehives then studio @studiogrondahl at a cheap rate during the holidayseason and at late nights.
We were obviously very obscure still but this track #itbeatsmeeverytime got some Swedish radio airplay and eventually we managed to release the album in the states. Baby steps!
The wiki-page says we did no videos for this album which is not true. We did three! But only this one has survived in any shape or form. (A shame cause the one for our #theconcretes cover #teenlove was pretty funny I remember. )
This elliptical clip was made out of stills during a long nightly session and the masterwork of photographer @magnusmmagnusson It still holds up and is quite cool me thinks 😎in a very early noughties kinda way! Bjorn was away somwhere (maybe touring with someone?) so we brought in a stand-in lookalike (if you look with you’re eyes halfclosed) with the advantage of also being called #Bjorn and being a bassplayer 😂 Watch the full video from the link in stories!
I love this album, its one of my personal PBJ-favorites, it has a raw emotional vibe I feel very connected too still. Its also a favorite among fans digging deeper beyond the obvious more wellknown albums. We still ocassionally play some of these songs live. Whats you’re favorite tracks from this nugget? Well back in August @vulture listed the top 40 of the best musical performances from the series history and we landed a respectable 19th place 🔥👏🥂Top 20!! Vulture says ”Peter Morén has the perfect voice for kids’ music: It’s crystal clear, easy to understand, and it cuts right through snare hits. You’ll walk away wanting to play secret agent.” Is someone trying to tell us something? Should we branch out?
